‘Kankan’ the first comic book of Assam is an initiative of love for children and the child at heart older Assamese. It is now making waves not only among the children but also the older generation as it did with limited reach previously. It provides ‘informal learning mixed with truly fun stories available to today’s children and future children at heart Assamese’. A comic book complete with tidbits of history, general knowledge, entertainment etc. the stories and illustrations of Kankan bring this labour to life and colour and thus finds a niche among the children in spite of addiction to gadgets. It endeavours to ensure doing so with the patronage and reach of it’s readership.
